You're hearing the scream now. I know you've played that maze. |
The person who come up with these live events should really redesign their way of doing things. Such as, not using the same live events as before. Or perhaps giving new masks and having the elite reward a costume or something. Perhaps choosing to revamp the parts of the live event to resemble Halloween in all it's spooky glory. Instead of killing 100 people while masked you should collect candy which can be used for a sugar rush ability increasing speed and damage.
The PvE public quest should have a stage 1 and 2 leading up to the summon of the boss. Such as going around collecting souls then progressing into killing hero knights of the blazing sun/chosens (depending on your realm) that are trying to stop the summon. Then the reset timer could be reduced to 15 or 30 minutes to compensate the addition of stages.
The PvP public quests should be focused around killing the opposing realm, not running back and forth in a zerg like fashion. You should be battling each other and every time someone dies a ghost will appear and walk towards their warcamp. The amount could be a set notion or changed depending on AAO. Then after a set amount a giant ghost would appear somewhere within the lake giving a message of it's whereabouts to the players. Then like the World Boss the sides will have to fight the boss while fighting the opposing side. With it's health depending on AAO. Only the side that collected the amount of spirits can attack it. If the side kills it they get a roll. If they fail the opposing realm gets a roll for a purple bag and below. Meaning you have to collect the spirits to get the roll for a gold bag. This would bring more RvR action as players try to kill eachother to progress the PQ. Then in the later stage bring the RvR to a specific area. More RvR the better.
These are some of the ideas I had to make it better and on Halloween you had a huge celebration at your main city followed by a huge PQ that is so devastatingly hard you need cooperation and quite a big number of people to finish it (Such as a warband). Many of you might not agree with my ideas, and that's okay. But, what would you do to make this live event better? [INCOMING: LARGE UNPUNCTUATED RUN ON SENTENCE] Have a scary face pop on your screen and scream at you like so many of those non-harmless-looking videos until BAM! You get the biggest ear piercing scream you've ever heard and a picture of something that's supposed to be scary but it's not and you realize that the picture had absolutely no effect on you and you were just scared about the abrupt ear-drum-blowing sound that you probably heard nine hundred times so after you jump you just looked down unammused as you think about the person laughing as he got you to fall for it again and it makes you mad just thinking about it. Is that what you'd do?
